We're painting the roses red!

Okay, so I wasn't painting roses, but today at clinical I had my first experience with triple cord dye. It's purple dye that is used on babies' umbilical cords after birth to prevent infection. Suffice it to say that it's tougher to use than I thought. I wasn't having much luck with it and squeezed the tube really hard and it went everywhere! Good grief!

We had a little time conflict today at clinical with the LPN students from our school, so to accomodate schedules, we have swapped our clinical tomorrow and our class friday. I'm not upset by that because the Mississippi Association of Student Nurses convention is this week and I'm going. Because of the convention, I was going to miss class on friday (which I didn't want to do). Now I'll miss a day of clinical, but won't miss the new material to be tested on Monday. We also have a 12 hour clinical next week rather than two days of 6 hrs. I'm excited about it.

Past that, pretty boring day.

1. I got a small scrapbook today. I decided that my best bet with this new scrapbooking idea would be to try a small project to see if I like it. I think I'm going to do a book about my sisters kids. If my pages turn out decent at all, I'll post pics of them.
2. I got my hair cut again today. Now that it is short, it grows SO fast. What's the deal?
3. I've decided that the more adult you become, the less you get to sleep in. Adulthood stinks sometimes. I'm tired.
4. Dave's brother and his wife just had a baby. Her name is Isabella Jada Roshto. I now have 11 nieces and nephews.
5. I'm beginning to see deer on the road every morning, no matter which road I take to school. I'm just waiting for the day when I have to post about hitting a deer with my car--knock on wood.

Okay, just 5 things tonight.

Stay tuned...

Welcome to the Short Hair Club, which is not to be confused with the Hair Club for Men. Totally different. The benefits are frequent haircuts and more compliments. Enjoy.
