That's why Dave found soap in the laundry hamper.

Yesterday we had 12 hour clinical--it was great! I actually started by going to an OB/GYN clinic, but there was only one doctor and he ended up going to the hospital pretty early, so I went to the hospital too. I didn't get to follow him, I had to go to my clinical group, which wasn't bad. We are doing post partum, which is my favorite of the three places we go this semester (Pediatrics and nursery being the other 2). I only had one patient, but I think our students had every patient on the floor. The day had it's up and downs, it's fast moments and moments when we had NOTHING to do, but it was a good learning day and I REALLY enjoyed sleeping in this morning.
I turned in my last paper of the semester yesterday and wanted to sing the Hallelujah Chorus when I did. I really don't care what I made on it (which is NOT like me), I'm just glad its done and it's turned in.
Today I think I'm going to spend some time with my boys and maybe take them to play with Katie at the pond. It's pretty chilly outside, so I won't throw them in, but if they get in on their own--so be it.

1. Did you know that if you suffer from RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome) that you might can get some relief by putting a bar of soap in the bed, under the covers, down by your feet? I have tried this and can testify to its effectiveness. I don't know if it is just psychological--and I don't care! It works! Who cares why it works! Just don't use Dial, supposedly it isn't as effective.
2. Tomorrow (on my real day off), I'm finally going to get some sewing done! I can't wait.
3. If you ever have an opportunity to have a student nurse while in the hospital--take it. We're really not so bad. We also do everything by the book--no shortcuts here!
4. My house has exploded. I guess that's what happens when you haven't cleaned it in a while.
5. I am loving this cold weather! I'm going to wear a sweat shirt today!!!!!
