No candy. No trick-or-treaters. No costumes. What has Halloween become? I thought I would be helping at school with Treats in the Streets, but alas, that was last night--I missed it! There are never trick-or-treaters at our house either, but they "trick-or-treated" last night anyway! Why does the high school football game take precedence over Halloween? In fact, the school celebrated yesterday because of a Jones football game. This wouldn't bother me so bad if last year Halloween weren't on a Wednesday and did they cancel for church? NOOOOO!!! But they'll cancel for a football game! Where are our priorities?
Maybe I'll boycott Halloween this year--oh wait--I can't boycott it, they moved it to last night--I missed it!

Your Halloween could have been like mine....taking 6 kids around a neighborhood crammed full of people. We probably walked 4 miles tonight....carrying a RIDICULOUS amount of candy. I swear the bag we took to hold the excess from the kids' bags weighed about 50 pounds. When the kids decided they were done trick-or-treating, we were on the complete OPPOSITE side of the subdivision. Figures!
