We took a group of teenagers to Teen Leadership Camp in Arkansas a couple of weeks ago. It was awesome! I think God worked on me as much or more than He did the teens. The theme this year was, "I am not, but I know I AM". Before we left, I picked up the book Boundaries that I had started about a year ago, but didn't finish when nursing school started. God really impressed me that it was time to read that book--and once I got to camp, I understood why (kind of). Both the camp speakers and the book focused on learning who I am, and who I am not. In the Boundaries book, it used the concept in terms of learning where to set boundaries. Since I'm a compulsive volunteerer, I really do have to work on being able to identify what roles are not meant for me and say no. The camp speakers focused on who we are not and who God is. I'm doing a horrible job explaining this, but suffice it to say, God is teaching me about boundaries--with other people and with myself. I'm not claiming to have it perfect (or even good) yet, but He's still workin' on me.
Camp was really awesome though. Our kids were great--and a lot of fun. One of our boys taught me to dance (as best as he could--he didn't have much to work with). We had rec time, which was lots of fun.

And worship services were great! The band was really good and did a fantastic job leading in worship.
I'm already looking forward to camp next year!
